In the fifteenth century the Valle delle Cartiere was a recognized paper center across the border but, with the advent of new technologies, the production of paper moved towards the lake and nature took over the factories.

Hiking trail that from the town of Sasso sopra Gargnano climbs up to Cima Comer along the ridge of the mountain.
